Description
So I thought I'd share a little look at what my screen looks like while I'm working on things. This weekend I've been working on getting the 4 characters for my Mythological Minis sketched out. As you can see I sort of multi task. I find I can't draw when it's quiet, but music is too numbing. I need some focus to keep my mind from wandering so I put on something that I can follow along without directly watching it, like Deep Space 9 LOL. I've been re-watching the series start to finish, again. Best Trek series, because no one messes with Benjamin Sisko's Mother Fucking Pimp Hand. XD
Back on topic, I usually do the initial sketches on my Surface 3, then take it to Manga Studio 5 for refining, then either stay in MS5 for ink and colors if I plan shading, or in the case of these guys, I will need to use Inkscape for vectoring, since they're going to be made into charms and stickers. I use a lot of layers when I work since I need to be able to bounce back and fix up various parts. Usually I sketch with bright green, and refine with a darker blue. I find that sketching with a black pencil makes it more difficult to pick out my errors. I dunno why. Green and blue work best for me.
